My favourite author. Not just because he is an amazing, inspiring, and wonderful man, but purely because of how his words are so raw and beautiful and insightful that it overshadows every other young-adult novelist. John doesn’t just understand teenagers, but defends them. Where many adults are quick to condescend and stereotype young people, he stands up for them and gets to their level. I really am thankful that he’s here and I’ve had the pleasure to read his work.
